Communication for All: New World Information and Communication edited by Philip Lee called for 'the promulgation and implementation of communication as a fundamental human right' and the demand for more participatory and more democratic communication to be seen 'in the light of justice.'
Together with a Foreword by Michael Traber, the book contains eight chapters: 'Social Communication and Global Problems' by Johan Galtung; 'Strengths and Weaknesses of the New International Information Empire' by Herbet I. Schiller; 'Women and NWICO' by Margaret Gallagher; 'African Responses to the NWICO Debate' by Paul A.V. Ansah; 'NWICO: New World Information and Communication Order' by Washington Uranga; 'Christians Building a New Order of Communication' by Robert A. White; 'Communication and the Church in India' by Gaston Roberge; and 'Select Annotated Bibliography on a NWICO' by Colleen Roach.
