About Us

The World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) launched the Centre for Communication Rights (CCR) in 2008 in response to a growing demand for materials about the right to communicate and the democratization of communication. WACC gratefully acknowledges the many pioneers of the right to communicate, including Jean d'Arcy, the Right to Communicate Group, the individuals and organisations that made up the Platform for Co-operation on Communication and Democratization, and the Campaign for Communication Rights in the Information Society (CRIS).

Communication rights enable all people everywhere to express themselves individually and collectively by all means of communication. They are vital to full participation in society and are, therefore, universal human rights belonging to every man, woman, and child.
